Acer buergeranum
Trident maple

This small, oval tree presents a multi-stemmed habit and medium-fine, glossy dark green leaves. The bark is also considered ornamental, exfoliating slightly to expose an orangish under-bark.

Habit:Oval or upright-rounded outline, often branching just above the soil
Size:20-25' common, but can grow to 50'
Color:New growth bronze to purple, changing to glossy dark green
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 6a USDA
