Acer x freemanii 'Autumn Blaze'
Autumn Blaze freeman maple

This is an excellent selection for fall color, structure, cold hardiness and fast growth. The orange-red fall color persists for a long time, and it is more drought and pH tolerant than red maple. It should be included in any list of street and parking lot trees. It represents a great improvement over silver maple. Autumn Blaze is the trademarked name for the cultivar 'Jeffersred'.

Habit:Dense oval-rounded with ascending branches ascending at a 45 degree angle when young and slightly wider with age, not as dense as many red maple cultivars.
Size:50-55' high
Family:Aceraceae
