River birch

A large oval, native, deciduous tree grown for its beautiful exfoliating tan bark and resistance to the bronze birch borer. It looks good when grown with multiple trunks and used as a specimen.

Habit:Pyramidal in youth, oval to rounded at maturity, grown with single or multiple trunks
Size:40-70' high
Color:Lustrous medium green in summer
Texture:Medium
Hardiness:Zone 4a USDA
Habitat:Massachusetts - Florida - Kansas - Minnesota
