Carpinus betulus 'Fastigiata'
Upright European hornbeam

The widest of the narrow selections of the European hornbeam, it develops a formal oval shape with time.

Habit:Broad oval-vase shaped, no central leader, variable in the trade. It has a narrow fastigiate habit in youth that continues to widen to a broad oval.
