Chaenomeles speciosa
Common flowering quince

The leaves are alternate, simple, ovate-elliptic, 2 to 3" long with a pointed acute apex and are serrate. A pair of rounded and crenate-serrate stipules is borne at the base of each leaf petiole. The leaves of this species are longer and have a more pointed apex than those of Chaenomeles japonica.
