Umbrella magnolia

Named for its large leaves that are borne in an umbrella-like fashion, this coarse textured US native magnolia has large creamy white flowers with an unpleasant odor.

Habit:Wide pyramidal to rounded, single or multi-stemmed
Size:15-30' high
Texture:Coarse
Hardiness:Zone 5a USDA
Habitat:Pennsylvania - Georgia - Mississippi - Arkansas as an occasional understory tree alongside mountain streams or other wet areas
