Malus floribunda
Japanese flowering crabapple

The red buds are open to a delicate light pink color that fades to white. The heavily borne single flowers are fragrant and reliably produced every year. The individual flowers are 1 - 1/4" across borne on a 1 - 1 1/3" purple pedicels and have 5 obovate-oblong petals and a pubescent calyx.
