White spruce

A large grayish green evergreen tree with a formal narrow pyramidal to wide conical habit. This cold-adapted tree is also one of the best sources for the paper-pulp industry.

Habit:Pyramidal to narrow pyramidal tree becoming conical in old age with a steeple-like crown; a straight central leader bears the ascending branches and slightly pendant branchlets; older trees tend to lose their lower branches

Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 2a USDA
