Rhus typhina
Staghorn sumac

A large, loose suckering shrub that is known for its densely hairy stems, excellent fall color and popular cutleaf forms.

Habit:Broad rounded and spreading due to suckering habit, leggy at base
Size:15-25' high in cultivation, more than twice that in the wild
Color:Dark rich green
Texture:Medium in summer becoming very coarse in winter
Hardiness:Zone 3b USDA
Habitat:A common native from Newfoundland - Virginia - Tennessee - Minnesota
Family:Anacardiaceae
