Viburnum prunifolium
Blackhaw viburnum

Opposite, simple and broad elliptic to ovate or obovate, the 1 1/2 to 3 1/2" leaves have acute to obtuse apices, rounded to narrow cuneate bases and are serrulate. The medium to dark green glabrous leaves may be lustrous or dull. The petioles are either not winged or are smoothly narrowly winged in contrast to the distinctive wavy winged petioles of Viburnum lentago.
