Culture: Although trident maples prefer acidic soils, they are relatively drought tolerant and transplant fairly well. The greatest limitation for this species is its zone 6a hardiness. There are few pest problems.
Usage: This is a handsome small landscape tree which has excellent potential as a patio tree, specimen, street tree or in planter boxes in mild climates.
