Acer palmatum 'Dissectum Atropurpureum'
Purple threadleaf Japanese maple

This is a deeply incised purple-leaved form that fades to purplish green in the summer. This name is sometimes used to categorize a series of purple cut-leaved cultivars.

Habit:Mounded, with pendulous, contorted branches, adding winter interest
Size:6-8' high, although larger sizes are possible
Color:Reddish-purple in spring, fading to purplish green, then turning orange-red in autumn
Hardiness:Zone 6a USDA
