Berberis candidula
Paleleaf barberry

Culture: This species prefers moist, slightly acid soil in full sun to light shade, and is easily transplantable.

There are no serious insect or disease problems. Its main limiting factor is lack of cold hardiness for northern areas.

Usage: The Paleleaf barberry is an excellent plant for the rock garden or in the front of the shrub borders. Its evergreen foliage makes for interest all year around.
