Berberis koreana
Korean barberry

Culture: Easy to transplant and adaptable, this species can tolerate most sites except those that are overly wet. It prefers full sun to partial shade. Although benefiting from occasional pruning, the long dense thorns make this a job ideally suited for procrastinators. This is not a plant for the timid gardener.

Usage: Frequently used as a barrier plant because of its densely thorny stems, this shrub offers good flower, fruit and fall color.
