Berberis thunbergii 'Aurea'
Golden Japanese barberry

Culture: 'Aurea' needs to be grown in full sun for the brightest yellow color. It turns greenish in shade.

Usage: This selection makes a bright accent plant or helps to liven up an otherwise dull corner of the garden. Although this plant is a favorite of gardeners for its bright yellow foliage, discretion is advised when contemplating using it to contrast with the purple forms.
