Betula populifolia 'Whitespire'
Whitespire gray birch

The 2 1/2 to 3 1/2" long leaves are triangular-ovate with the base very broadly acute to truncate or subcordate. The apex is acuminate and the margin slightly lobed or doubly serrate. Vigorous specimens tend to have truncate or subcordate bases, while stressed plants often show broadly acute or wedge-shaped bases.
