A large dark green evergreen conifer that changes from a pyramidal habit in youth to a flat-topped, picturesque tree with a massive trunk and horizontal branches.

Habit:Pyramidal in youth with a strong central developing into a flat-topped, picturesque, slightly loose, and spreading tree with strong horizontal branching; it is a very graceful and beautiful tree
Size:40-60' high, heights of 100' or more are possible
Color:Dark green for the species
Texture:Fine
Hardiness:Zone 5b/6a USDA, although most selections Zone 6b
Habitat:Lebanon to Syria and Turkey
Family:Pinaceae
