Cercidiphyllum japonicum
Katsuratree

The leaves are 2 1/2 to 4" long and cordate to suborbicular. They are arranged opposite to sub-opposite with a cordate base and a crenate-serrate margin. The name Cercidiphyllum is derived from the similarity of these leaves to those of the genus Cercis.
