Cornus canadensis
Bunchberry

Culture: A very demanding plant culturally, this species requires cool shady sites, with moist, acid soils high in organic matter. Because it is difficult to transplant, it is usually moved as sod or in containers.

Although it has no serious pest problems, its culture is quite demanding.

Usage: A beautiful native ground cover, well worth the extra work required to establish it. Unfortunately it is difficult to find in commerce.
