Cornus sanguinea
Bloodtwig dogwood

Culture: The Bloodtwig Dogwood is a fibrous rooted shrub that is easily transplanted and very adaptable. It is tolerant of lime (alkaline) soils and prefers full sun or part shade.

This species has few serious pest problems. It is a tough and durable shrub that needs little care.

Usage: A clumsy looking plant in the landscape, it is possible to use this plant in groupings or as a screen. The other red-stemmed dogwoods make better landscape plants.
