Cotoneaster multiflorus
Many-flowered cotoneaster

The best of the cotoneasters for flower display, the white flowers on this species are 1/2" wide and appear in 3 to 12-flowered corymbs in early to mid-May. They strongly accentuate the arching pattern of the branches, seeming to weigh the stems down nearly to the ground. The flowers have a weak unpleasant fragrance.
