Slender deutzia

Opposite, simple and lanceolate, the 1-3" leaves are unevenly serrate with light-colored glandular serrations that sometimes are incurved. The nearly whitish tips of the serrations can serve to distinguish this genus. The opposite leaf arrangement separates this genus from Spirea.
