Forsythia suspensa

Forsythia suspensa
Weeping forsythia

Culture: This easy-to-grow species is culturally not as tough as other Forsythia, but they are adaptable and still require full sun. The species also benefits from renewal pruning.

Usage: The weeping form, variety sieboldii, is particularly nice when given a chance to cascade over retaining wells and other objects, creating a cascade or water fall-like effect. The upright form, variety fortunei, is used as specimens, in shrub borders and in large masses.
