Forsythia viridissima 'Bronxensis'
Bronx greenstem forsythia

This low-growing forsythia is used as a groundcover in mass plantings and on banks. The flower display is less effective than other Forsythia species, but better than many other groundcovers.

Habit:Broad-rounded and flat topped
Size:12-18" high and 2 to 3' wide
Color:Medium to dark green
Texture:Fine
Hardiness:Zone 5b USDA
Habitat:The species is from China, while the cultivar originated in New York in 1939.
