Culture: Native to dry, calcareous upland soils, the blue ash is a slow-growing drought tolerant species.
There have been reported problems with borers.
Usage: In my mind, this is one of the best ashes available for landscape use, and should be put into production more often. The glossy, clean foliage is sure to excite the eye in summer, as is the interesting winter branching.
