Ginkgo biloba
Ginkgo

Alternate, simple and fan-shaped, the unusual leaves of this species feature dichotomous venation (one vein branches into two, two into four, etc.). The leaves are borne singly along the stem on new growth and clustered on spurs on older growth. The name "biloba" is derived from the leaf apex that is frequently divided into two lobes.
