Ginkgo

Although biologically unusual, the dioecious flowers are greenish in color and not showy. The male flowers are borne in 1" long catkins and produce motile sperm that require water to travel to the female flowers. Female flowers contain small ovules borne on 1 to 2" long peduncles.
