Juniperus rigida subsp. conferta
Shore juniper

Culture: Prefers sandy soils, particularly along seashores, but is not tolerant of excess moisture. The species does require full sun and can tolerate salt spray.

Few disease and insect problems reported.

Usage: Good low-growing groundcover for mass plantings on banks or cascading over walls. Its erect stem tips add texture in the winter months, creating an interesting pattern in light snow.
