These bright yellow, 5-petaled flowers are about 1 1/2" wide and appear for about 2 weeks in late April. They are rather showy, and are borne on the previous season's growth, so pruning should be done immediately after flowering occurs. Once the main flowering season is over, new blooms will come forth sporadically throughout the season until heavy frost.
