Koelreuteria paniculata
Panicled goldenraintree

Culture: This fairly adaptable tree prefers full sun but is tolerant of nearly all types of soils, and is pollution and drought tolerant.

There are relatively few problems with this species. Its use in the North is limited by its cold hardiness.

Usage: As one of the few trees to flower in late July, this tree has a lot to offer to the landscape. Coupled with its tolerance to adverse conditions, it seems to be ideal for use in parks, on parkways, or as a specimen where space allows. Its usage in the North is restricted due to marginal cold hardiness.
