Maackia amurensis
Amur maackia

Culture: Although it prefers well-drained, loose soils in full sun, the Amur maackia is not picky about the soil pH, or much else for that matter, for it appears to be rather adaptable.

No serious problems are common.

Usage: Because of its late flowering time and clean appearance throughout most of the year, this species might earn a place in your landscape. Probably best as a candidate for specimen plantings or as a street tree, the Amur maackia could also have a place in the larger landscape when grouped together in 3's or 5's.
