Magnolia 'Susan'
Susan magnolia

The flowers are intensely red-purple outside and inside, with 6 slightly twisted tepals forming a flower 4 to 6" in diameter in late April in central Illinois. The strong reddish purple color on the inside surface of the tepals distinguishes this cultivar from the other "Litle Girl Hybrids".
