Mahonia repens

Mahonia repens
Creeping mahonia

Culture: The leatherleaf mahonia performs best in a moist acid to neutral well-drained soil. It can be located in full sun if adequate moisture is available, otherwise it is best located in partial to moderate shade.

Usage: This species makes an unusual groundcover, although not a very formal one. The openness of the canopy does not lend it to very formal situations.
