Malus sargentii 'Tina'
Tina sargent flowering crabapple

Culture: Like other crabapples, this species should be grown in full sun with a moist, well-drained and acidic to neutral soil. It transplants rather easily. The location of its branches close to the ground makes the use of an organic mulch a good choice for weed control and proper cultivation.

An excellent crabapple for disease resistance like its parent, this cultivar is not troubled by fireblight, cedar-apple rust, scab or mildew.

Usage: The 'Tina' flowering crabapple makes a beautiful specimen either alone or in multiples. Its short stature with branches low to the ground makes it useful in small situations.
