An adaptable evergreen with a uniformly pyramidal habit in youth that becomes flat-topped and umbrella-like with maturity. Unfortunately the dark green foliage is quite susceptible to Diplodia tip blight.

Habit:Pyramidal form in youth, developing a broad, flat-topped umbrella-like crown in old age; horizontal or slightly drooping lateral branches; lower branches are lost with age
