Pyrus calleryana 'Aristocrat'
Aristocrat callery pear

'Aristocrat' features wider and stronger branch angles than 'Bradford' and has longer leaves with a distinctive undulate margin. Its flower displays and fall color are somewhat less showy than 'Bradford', but the foliage is just as glossy and clean, and the less formal branching lends itself better to ice storm resistance. Unfortunately, this cultivar does not exhibit the same level of resistance to fireblight as 'Bradford' and 'Chanticleer.

Habit:Pyramidal to broad-pyramidal, with open, slightly spreading branches; formal
Size:40' high by 20' wide
Color:Glossy dark green in summer, changing to a moderate purple-red in autumn
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 5a USDA
