Chinese sumac

A very large suckering shrub or small tree with large panicles of creamy white flowers borne in late summer and dull pubescent leaves that have a winged rachis.

Habit:A round flat-topped shrub or small tree; can become very broad if allowed to sucker and spread
Size:20-25' high
Color:Dark green
Texture:Medium in summer becoming coarse in winter
Hardiness:Borderline 5b/6a USDA; frequently winter injures in the Champaign, Illinois area
Family:Anacardiaceae
