Black locust

These alternate and pinnately compound leaves are 6-14" long, bearing 7-19 elliptic or ovate-oblong leaflets. These leaflets are 1-2" long with a mucronate apex, entire, and have slight pubescence on the underside that disappears with maturity. The leaflets are often not uniformly displayed on the leaf.
