Evergreen and linear, the leaves are very dark green above and light yellowish-green below, ranging from 1/2 - 1 1/4" in length. The leaves are radially borne around the stem but held in a nearly 2-ranked condition. Most cultivars have leaves that are curved downward from the base to the apex.
