Carolina hemlock

A medium to large pyramidal conifer with dark evergreen foliage native to the southeastern Appalachians. Being from a warmer climate than Tsuga Canadensis, this species is thought to be more tolerant of heat and urban conditions.

Habit:Pyramidal form with pendulous but yet stiff branching; spire-like top
Size:45-60' high
Color:Dark green
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 5b USDA
Habitat:West Virginia - Georgia
