Wisteria macrostachya
Kentucky wisteria

Culture: Although tolerant to flooding, this fast-growing species prefers well-drained, moist, slightly acidic soils.

There are few disease or insect problems with this species, and almost all are insignificant.

Usage: This cold-hardy wisteria makes an excellent addition to the northern garden, gracing the summer months with its sweetly perfumed flowers. It is probably most effective growing over an arbor, and will produce more flowers in full sun.
