Abies veitchii
Veitch fir

With its dark green foliage and slightly informal conical to narrow pyramidal habit, the Veitch Fir makes an excellent landscape plant. Like most other firs it does best in the cooler northern areas.

Habit:Conical to narrowly pyramidal with a strong central leader and slightly less formal in outline than most other fir species
Size:50-75' high, with a spread 1/4 to 1/3 the height
Color:Lustrous dark green
Texture:Medium-fine
Hardiness:Zone 3b USDA
Habitat:Central and Southern Japan
Family:Pinaceae
