Acer miyabei
Miyabe maple

The opposite leaves are 3-5" long and 4-6" wide, with 5 rounded lobes that are entire and blunt at the tips. Like the hedge maple, a milky sap is exuded from the petioles when detached. This species can be distinguished by the distinctly wider and slightly longer leaf blades.
