Opposite and palmately compound, the leaves bear 7 (5-7 possible) obovate to oblanceolate leaflets, each 4-10" long and serrate. There is also an absence of petiolules. In the late summer, leaves are often grayed by the presence of powdery mildew and disfigured by leaf blotch and leaf scorch.
