Ailanthus altissima
Tree of heaven

Alternate and pinnately compound, these 16-24"-long leaves are a dark green, bearing 10 to 15 pairs of slightly glossy 3-5" long lanceolate to narrow ovate leaflets. Each leaflet has slight lobing at the base, with a swollen gland present at the tip of the bottommost lobe. New leaves are an interesting bronzy purple color.
