Albizia julibrissin
Mimosa

Bipinnately compound with falcate (sickle-shaped) leaflets, the leaves of this species are composed of 8-25 pinnae (branchlets) which each contain 30 to 60 leaflets. Individual leaflets are 1/4 to 1/2" long, asymmetric, oblong and entire. The numerous small leaflets create a tropical appearance to the plant. The leaflets also fold up at night. The mimosa is very late to leaf out in spring.
