Asimina triloba
Common paw-paw

Culture: Somewhat difficult to transplant, the pawpaw prefers moist, fertile soils. It has a pH range from 6.0 to 8.0 and does well in full sun to shade.

Pawpaw has no serious pest problems

Usage: Although the pawpaw is rarely used in the landscape, it can be used for naturalizing or in native gardens. The fruit is edible and quite tasty but it has a short shelf life.
