Cornus amomum
Silky dogwood

The opposite arranged leaves are ovate, 2-4" long with a slightly undulate margin, and are rounded at the base and acuminate at the apex. The 4-7 pairs of veins have white-brownish hairs on the glaucous underside of the leaf.
