Cornus kousa
Kousa dogwood

Opposite, elliptic-ovate and entire, the 2-4" long leaves are rounded at the base and acuminate at the apex. This species exhibits the typical dogwood venation pattern with the lateral veins curving toward the apex. The undersides of the leaves are glaucous with appressed pilose pubescence and axillary tufts of hairs.
