Cornus racemosa
Gray dogwood

Culture: An adaptable shrub, the Gray Dogwood tolerates wet or dry soils and full sun to full shade.

No serious pest problems, occasional leaf spot and scale.

Usage: A suitable plant for shade areas and possibly for naturalizing. Gray Dogwood lacks the outstanding ornamental characteristics to warrant widespread landscape use. It is a common understory plant in northern woodlands. In landscape situations it tends to sucker and form colonies, taking over entire shrub beds.
